Embitterment is an emotion which is a normal reaction to injustice, but is seen also in the context of mental disorders. In greater intensity it can become disabling and have severe negative consequences for the patient, the environment, health care, and the social security system. Patients with intense embitterment are known to all clinicians, to work psychologists, to forensic experts, to lawyers, or marriage counselors. Patients with severe embitterment are often misdiagnosed as depression, anxiety or personality disorders and are difficult to treat.
The 3rd International Conference on embitterment will convene researchers from all over the world. It is the most important event to promote and exchange upfront research in embitterment and related topics. It is a great opportunity to meet colleagues, get information on new developments and build cooperations.
